Support A Sport
Support a Sport is a ticket share Fundraising opportunity for schools.
The First Support a Sport event was November 21, 2012, and was for Middle & High Schools of the Kent School District.
Students, teachers, parents and friends had the opportunity to purchase tickets with the full purchase price of each ticket supporting the school of their choice.
Half the ticket price was funded by T’Bird Hockey, the other half by Thunderbird Community Support Foundation.

MONEY RAISED:
- $13,752 was raised for the schools involved
- $6,876 funded by T’Birds Hockey
- $6,876 funded by Thunderbird Community Sports Foundation
RESULTS:
- Total tickets sold 573
- Cedar Heights Middle School sold the most Tickets - 178 to earn $4,272 for their School
- Cedar Heights Sparks Dance Team Performed at center ice
OTHER SPECIAL EVENTS:
- Kent Meridian High School Vocalists, Jessie & Stephanie O’Hara sang the Canadian and American National anthems
- Mascots from 8 of the Middle and High Schools participated in the broomball Game between periods
- Each participating school honored a Coach, athlete or team at the game
